I started visiting Ruidoso in the late 70's while stationed at Holloman Air Force Base as a member of the Test Group flying on missions over White Sands Missile Range, the Western United States and Alaska.  Following this, I left for Officer Training school and flew B-52's over the Pacific and then later stationed at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota. All the while traveling around the world in the Air Force there was always something about Ruidoso which intrigued me.

• Member of the Ruidoso Comprehensive Planning Committee
• Active in local issues involving growth, water resource management, tourism and economic development.
• Participant in the NM 532 Corridor Study ­ Public Involvement Meetings to plan the re-routing of Ski Run Road.
• Speaker at numerous Village Council and County Commission meetings and Participant in the first Village Council workshop to develop team building techniques.
• Member of the National Land Trust Alliance.
• Pro-Patroller at Ski Apache, EMT, CPR / First aid Instructor
• Commercial Pilot & Civil Air Patrol Member
• Mountain bike racer and member of National Mountain Bike Patrol
